Strategic planning for spatial governance: a case study of the Central District in Arak County, Iran

ABSTRACT Spatial governance involves studying the relationship between trade, and politics, resolving tensions, and harmonizing various social forces within a spatial domain within the framework of democratic governance models. The importance of this approach in space management stems from the increasing delegation of government responsibilities and powers to the non-governmental sector. Political space managers need to use strategic plans to achieve sustainable development and spatial justice. The general objectives of this research are an understanding of strategic planning and to apply it in one of the aspects of regional development, to explain the steps and process of strategic planning, and also how to determine and prioritize strategies. This research is descriptive in nature and applied-developmental in terms of purpose. The method of collecting information is a library, face-to-face interviews with experts, personal observation, and questionnaire completion. SWOT analysis method has been used to determine the importance and weighting of internal and external factors and to formulate strategies. A quantitative strategic planning matrix (QSPM) has been used to measure the attractiveness of each of the desired strategies. The results of the study indicate that conservative strategies are proposed as executive strategies in the Central District of Arak County, Iran.

STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT OF TALAS BENENG (Xanthosoma undipes) AGROFORESTRY IN CIAMIS REGENCY, INDONESIA

Recently, the Indonesian government has sought to secure food production from forestlands by implementing agroforestry in rural areas. Talas beneng or tall elephant ear plant (Xanthosoma undipes) is a potential species for agroforestry that produces medicinal tubers and leaves. It has high productivity and export opportunities, but its management strategy under community forestland needs to be more widely studied. In Ciamis Regency, talas beneng has been cultivated for the last two years, but the progress has not been significant. This study aimed to formulate strategic management for improving its business model by identifying internal and external factors. Two groups of farmers in Ciamis Regency were chosen as the case study. Observation and in-depth interviews with farming group leaders as key informants were employed to gather the existing model business. Internal and external factors were analyzed using a business model canvas (BMC) framework, SWOT analysis and quantitative strategic planning matrix (QSPM). Results show that the market channels between the two groups of talas beneng producers are slightly different. SWOT analysis shows that both groups have positions in which product development and market penetration are required as strategies to improve future management. Specific strategies that need to be prioritized include 1) improving farming intensification, 2) improving talas beneng product competitiveness, and 3) expanding the business partnership to access market information better.

Strategy formulation to support automation and digitalization initiative: A case study of an aerospace component manufacturer in Indonesia

Purpose: Strategy formulation is part of organization design study to evaluate decision thoroughly, then enable organization to achieve company goal. This study aims to formulate strategy of automation and digitalization for PT XYZ, to be ready for welcoming future growth of demand by maintain competitive cost within the same industry. Method: The study collects primary data from focus group discussion with selected participant of PT XYZ, located in Bandung, Indonesia, with participant selection based on information rich person reference. Data collection and analysis utilize qualitative and quantitative approach, and utilize three steps of strategy formulation (input stage, matching stage and decision stage). Results: Strategy formulation steps as per theory, applicable to finalize strategy to support industry 4.0 transformation at PT XYZ. Focus Group Discussion able to collect organization aspiration, to ensure strategy will align to company objective. Combine steps with latest internal and external factor analysis method, such as PESTLE (Political Economy Social Technological Environment), VRIO (Value Rarity InImitable Organize), Porter Value Chain analysis and QSPM (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix) help broaden the perspective of the participant during discussion. The study resulted eight strategies, which then simplified by data reduction approach to be four. A decision of sequence implementation also agreed during focus group discussion with participants. Contributions: By conducting this study, author expect it will prove the practical implementation of strategy formulation in industry 4.0 transformation for aerospace industry in Indonesia and Asia.

Proposed Marketing Strategy to Increase Sales Turnover at Retail Store X Using SWOT and QSPM Analysis

Toko Retail X, a retail store, provides a variety of daily needs. The Southeast Sulawesi province's Baubau City is home to Toko Retail X, which was formed in 2010. Toko Retail X has been around recently. As a result of Toko Retail X's strategy of constantly adding new products, it is believed that the reduction in profitability results from a need for more knowledge about internal and external elements that affect the business environment. Several techniques were used in the study process, such as the QSPM (quantitative strategic planning matrix), SWOT strategy matrix, and analysis of Toko Retail X's internal and external elements. Toko Retail X's advantages and disadvantages are among the identified internal factors. Porter's Five Forces Model, Toko Retail X prospects and threats, and the IE matrix are among the external aspects identified to ascertain the company's current situation. The SWOT and QSPM strategy matrices will also be utilized to develop and choose corporate strategies. Toko Retail X's position in Region II, where this position signifies growth and build, is indicated by the research results. This means that the developed strategy can concentrate on product development to increase the applications of the product, market penetration to grow the existing businesses, and market development to reach new markets with our current products. The eleven options that make up the final approach have been given a ranking. Developing social media to showcase Toko Retail X's details and answer customer inquiries about the products they wish to purchase is the highest ranking.

Development of a green supply chain management strategy for the aquaculture industry: The case of the common carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) hatchery industry in Ciparay District, West Java, Indonesia

Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) is important in the sustainable aquaculture industry owing to environmental concerns and to achieve responsible management. However, research on GSCM in aquaculture is limited. This study aimed to develop conceptual framework and strategies for GSCM in carp hatcheries in the Ciparay District, West Java, Indonesia. The GSCM strategy was developed through the following steps: (1) observation and interviews with farmers and literature review to develop conceptual GSCM; (2) interview and questionnaire dissemination to farmers for green supply chain operational reference (SCOR) - Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) scoring to determine the performance of hatcheries that meet GSCM standards; and (3) formulation, using findings from green SCOR-AHP, of development strategies using SWOT and Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) analysis for GSCM strategy development. The results showed that the conceptual GSCM in the aquaculture industry accommodates environment-friendly cultivation, resource management, distribution, waste management, and biosecurity. The performance of the GSCM in carp hatcheries was marginal and required improvement. The improvement was addressed using 12 alternative strategies grouped into environmental collaboration, green manufacturing, and investment recovery. Priority strategies included forming joint farmer groups for collaboration, training programs for green manufacturing, and using fish waste as pellets for investment recovery. Strategies are expected to improve GSCM in the carp hatchery industry and related sectors.

Planning A Fruit Shop Business Development Strategy "Nu Mesari Buah" Using SWOT Analysis and QSPM (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix) Method

This study employs SWOT analysis and QSPM method to develop a business strategy for "Nu Mesari Buah" fruit shop, focusing on internal and external factors affecting its competitiveness. Through qualitative analysis, including interviews, strengths like strategic location and fresh stock, weaknesses such as price fluctuations, opportunities such as increased demand, and threats like competition were identified. Quantitative evaluations using IFE and EFE matrices revealed stronger internal advantages and opportunities, indicating a favorable position for strategic planning. The IE matrix placed the shop in the Hold quadrant, suggesting market and product development strategies. QSPM prioritized strategies, with increasing goods availability before holidays ranked highest. This aims to meet rising demand by collaborating with local suppliers. Overall, the research offers insights for strategic planning in "Nu Mesari Buah" and similar businesses, albeit requiring gradual monitoring and evaluation for practical implementation, considering environmental and market dynamics.

STRATEGY DESIGN FOR GRIYA COKELAT NGLANGGERAN DEVELOPMENT: APPLICATION OF SWOT AND QSPM METHODS

The purpose of the study is to (1) examine the strategies that currently applied to Griya Cokelat Nglanggeran (2) to design the strategic decisions that can be applied for the development of Griya Cokelat Nglanggeran. This research is a quantitative research with the method of implementation by using descriptive research, taking saturated sampling (census sampling) involving all 13 available respondents. Techniques of collecting data used are interviews, observation, documentation and literature study. Data analysis techniques will be tested with IFE (Internal Factor Evaluation) matrix and EFE (External Factor Evaluation) matrix, IE (Internal-External) matrix, SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat) matrix and QSPM (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix) to decide the best strategic that can be applied. Based on the data in the processed matrix, the study draws key conclusions that (1) it highlights that the current strategies in Griya Cokelat Nglanggeran, particularly in production and marketing are limited. (2) The strategy applied based on the calculation on the SWOT matrix is the WO (Weakness-Opportunity) Strategy and the right strategy decision to be applied based on the QSPM matrix is a market development strategy based on the QSPM matrix analysis results. Overall, these findings provide valuable insights for the enhancement of Griya Cokelat Nglanggeran's business strategies.

Turkey, the second home for Iranians: push and pull motivations in Turkish housing market

PurposeThis paper examines the main drives of encouraging Iranian investors in the Turkish real estate market, focusing on the interface between push factors and pull factors that drive them abroad.Design/methodology/approachThis paper examines the main drives of encouraging Iranian investors in the Turkish real estate market, focusing on the interface between push factors and pull factors that drive them abroad. For this purpose, the trend of housing price growth in Iran and Turkey was compared. The review of the 11-year trend of rates shows that housing prices in both countries have been continuously rising, and these prices have undoubtedly experienced increasing shocks in Iran. For further analysis, 13 main variables leading to the repulsion of investment in Iran's housing market and 15 variables shaping the attractiveness of investment in Turkey were identified in this sector. Thirty experts subsequently ranked the significant variables based on a closed-end questionnaire using quantitative strategic planning matrix. Examining housing investment elasticity in Turkey also shows that “Turkey's economic stability compared to neighboring countries” and “acquiring Turkish citizenship through real estate investment” are among the most important variables. On the other hand, the pressure variables of housing investment in Iran were “decrease in the value of the Iranian currency in recent years,” “currency price fluctuations” and “severe fluctuations and instability in the Iranian housing market.”FindingsExamining housing investment elasticity in Turkey also shows that “Turkey's economic stability compared to neighboring countries” and “acquiring Turkish citizenship through real estate investment” are among the most important variables. Practically speaking, Turkey has aimed to create a rational framework for investors by strengthening and changing its economic system, as well as amending existing constitutions in this domain. Nevertheless, Iran resists any changes in its economic system and legislation. Therefore, a wide range of attractiveness and repulsion variables has led to the migration of Iranian investors to Turkey. In the present study, such variables are illuminated.

Coffee Agro-Technopark Development Strategy in Tabanan Regency to Strengthen Agriculture and Tourism Synergism

Tabanan Regency has various superior agricultural commodities, including coffee plantations and potential tourist attractions. Tabanan’s agriculture and tourism sectors have not been fully exploited, so the two have not yet run synergistically. Planning for an agro-technopark (ATP) is expected to create a production area based on agricultural technology, livestock and natural beauty. The ATP will leverage the potential of upstream and downstream agribusiness, infrastructure, and supporting services in coffee production, processing, and marketing. The research objective was to identify the sub-system of input, process, output, and development strategy of coffee ATP in Munduk Temu, Tabanan Regency. Data collection was carried out in two stages: secondary data collection with document study methods and primary data collection in the field using observation and interview methods. Data were analyzed using SWOT and strategic priority determination using Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) analysis. The results showed that coffee cultivation with an integrated system supporting coffee ATP in Muduk Temu Tabanan fulfills input, process, and output requirements. Still, the quantity and quality of each sub-system need to be improved. The strategic position of coffee ATP development is in quadrant I (SO Strategy). Strategic priorities with the highest TAS value: 1) implementing technological innovations for managing pre-harvest and post-harvest Robusta coffee to support product diversification (st5 = TAS 6.94); 2) Policies from the local government in regulation and providing assistance to Subak Abian in supporting the development of ATP Coffee (st1= TAS 6.87); 3) Implementing crop-livestock integration to optimize resource potential (st3=TAS 6.86); 4) Implementing research results and studies based on superior products (st.4 = TAS 6.62). It is necessary to strengthen the institutional synergy between Village Owned Enterprises (Bumdes) managers, Subak Abian, and tourism stakeholders in improving the agricultural sector in synergy with the tourism sector.

STRATEGIC AND LEADING DOMINANTS OF OVERCOMING ECONOMIC - MANAGEMENT DEVIATIONS OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS USING FUZZY LOGIC

The article defines the directions of functioning of the construction industry and stakeholders of construction enterprises, reveals the main directions and peculiarities of the functioning of construction enterprises in the conditions of martial law (during the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine) and substantiated directions of transformational development in the period of post-war reconstruction. The components of the theoretical-methodological platform for the formation and implementation of development management of construction enterprises have been developed using a methodical approach to the evaluation of strategic sets of the enterprise based on the improvement of the classical quantitative strategic planning matrix (QSPM, Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix). As a conceptual basis for identifying such factors, the McKinsey “7S” model was used, according to which all factors are grouped according to the signs of belonging to the following components: strategy, skills, common values (corporate culture), structure, employees, systems and style. As a result of the study, the factors affecting the formation and implementation of the adaptive capacity of the construction enterprise to the transformational changes of the operating system are proposed: labor productivity in the studied period; the ratio of administrative expenses to wages in operating expenses; the share of employees with higher education in the total number of management personnel; experience of management personnel; the ratio of labor costs to wage costs. The processes of economic-mathematical modeling of the influence of system factors on the integral indicator of the level of transformational ability of the enterprise are determined. To achieve the goals, the work uses methods of strategic diagnostics and fuzzy methods of multi-criteria evaluation with the help of the Matlab Fuzzy Logic Toolbox application program package.

Marketing Strategy Planning of Kahyangan Coffee Using Marketing Mix in Coffee Shops

Kopi Kahyangan continues to develop its product quality and market through the preparation of marketing strategies based on the marketing mix theory. This study aims to determine the marketing strategy of Kahyangan coffee based on the marketing mix in increasing sales volume. This study used a quantitative descriptive approach method using SWOT analysis, QSPM, and questionnaire tests using validity and reliability tests. The tools used to test this study were Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) 25, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word. The types and sources of data used are primary data and secondary data. The analysis method used is a descriptive analysis of marketing strategies that refers to the concept of the 4P Marketing mix (product, price, promotion, and place) using SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat) and QSPM (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix) matrix analysis. The results of the marketing strategy planning analysis according to the company's position in the IE matrix can use market penetration strategies by improving product quality, market development by increasing promotions and reaching new segments, and product development by making Kahyangan Coffee product innovations to increase sales volume of Kahyangan Coffee. The priority strategy of marketing strategy planning is to maintain quality and increase product licenses.

Formulation of Development Strategy of Public Accountant, A Case on KAP D & BCS Semarang

This study aims to formulate an appropriate strategy for developing KAP D BCS using the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). The quantitative data in the form of the number of Public Accountants (AP) and Public Accounting Firms (KAP) obtained from the Directory of Public Accounting Firms and Public Accountants during 2010–2022, as well as literature studies. The qualitative data were obtained through observation, interview, and questionnaires. The data was analyzed using EFE Matrix, IFE Matrix, SWOT Matrix Diagram, TOWS Matrix, and QSPM. The analysis of the IFE and EFE matrixes respectively resulted in the total score of 0.63 and 0.08 which indicate aggressive strategy in particularly development strategy in the IE matrix. The assessment using QSPM ended up with innovation strategy that provides the highest total attractiveness value. The KAP can utilize information technology to support the process in providing assurance and non-assurance services, such as digitizing audit working papers (KKP), audit programs and procedures, training and library of the audit materials enabling them to be accessed from any place, and developing websites and digitizing HR data.

Analysis and marketing strategy for processed sea cucumber crackers in the UMKM Kenjeran coastal area, Surabaya

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) are a good place for job creation which is planned by the government, private sector and individual business actors. In an effort to increase tourism and UMKM, the Surabaya City Government provides a platform for all residents, including Sea Cucumber Cracker UMKM. This research aims to analyze the profile of Sea Cucumber Crackers UMKM in the Kenjeran Coastal Area of Surabaya, analyze the marketing strategy of Sea Cucumber Crackers UMKM in the Kenjeran Coastal Area of Surabaya, and analyze the factors that influence the sustainability of the Sea Cucumber Crackers UMKM in the Kenjeran Surabaya Coastal Area. The research was carried out using a survey method of 28 Sea Cucumber Cracker UMKM business actors in the Kenjeran coastal area of Surabaya from April 2023 to December 2023. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, literature study and documentation methods. The analysis carried out is quantitative descriptive analysis, SWOT analysis and QSPM. The results of this research show that in general, sea cucumber cracker UMKM in the Kenjeran Coastal Area of Surabaya City are micro businesses, with the majority running the business for more than 10 years, and having a high school education. Based on the SWOT analysis, it can be concluded that the marketing strategy position of UMKM Sea Cucumber Crackers is in Quadrant III, namely Change Strategy. The results of the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) analysis show that the Total Attractive Score (TAS) is 65.78.

Analysis of the concept of circular economy application by small and medium industries in West Java province (a case study: Padamukti and Cibodas villages, Solokan Jeruk district, Bandung regency)

Although small and medium enterprises (SMEs) have played an important role in Indonesia’s economic growth, they bring various environmental problems. SMEs in the manufacturing sector, also known as small and medium industries (SMIs) are the majority of business entities in Indonesia and are one of the most significant polluters. This study focused on several SMIs located within two villages (i.e. Padamukti and Cibodas) alongside the Citarik River, which is one of the Citarum River tributaries. The study aimed to identify the concept of circular economy application by SMIs in West Java Province consisting of an understanding of (1) the circular economy concept and (2) internal and external factors of the circular economy application. In this study, we applied the snowball technique, closed questionaries, strengths-weakness-opportunities-threats (SWOT), and quantitative strategic planning matrix (QSPM). There were 10 selected respondents, including 4 respondents who were waste generators, while 6 respondents were classified as waste beneficiaries. The study found that 100% of the involved respondents had never heard or understood the concept of the circular economy even though they had partially applied the 5R principles. By using SWOT, driving and barrier factors were identified. The reprocessed waste became a strength factor, while the lack of knowledge and expertise in waste management were two major weaknesses. Meanwhile, there was attention and encouragement from the government for SMIs that implement environmentally friendly businesses as an opportunity factor, and insufficient market availability or consumers are part of the external analysis. Sequentially, using QSPM we suggest that socialization of the circular economy concept needs to be carried out in the wider community as the priority strategy and policy recommendations, followed by policymaking and guidelines for effective circular economy implementation.

Internationalization strategy management for small and medium-size enterprises: A case study of LED industrial enterprise

With China’s “One Belt, One Road” (OBOR) cooperation initiative in 2013, more and more Chinese SMEs enterprises (SMEs) are heading overseas to international markets (Li, 2020). In the early stage of internationalization, most Chinese SMEs still focus on traditional export trade. By 2023, after ten years of development of the Belt and Road initiative (BRI), the traditional export trade model is no longer sufficient to support Chinese SMEs to cope with competition in the international market (Han, 2021). However, most Chinese SMEs do not have a clear internationalization strategy, so the development of a clear internationalization strategy has become an important research topic for Chinese SMEs. This paper takes D&H company as the research object, uses the PEST analysis model, and the internal factor evaluation (IFE) and external factor evaluation (EFE), internal and external environmental factor analysis matrix to sort out the advantages, disadvantages, opportunities and threats faced by the company, and applies strengths-weaknesses-opportunities-threats (SWOT) and the quantitative strategic planning matrix (QSPM) tools to study the internationalization paths and plans of D&H. This paper explores the new situation of internationalization in a practical sense and provides research examples and methods for Chinese SMEs to develop internationalization routes with some reference value.

ANALISIS STRATEGI PEMASARAN KERUPUK MAWAR DI UMKM CITRA DENGAN METODE SWOT DAN QSPM

Marketing strategies are needed by Citra MSME actors to face competition in the target market. This research is a type of qualitative and quantitative research with the use of SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) and QSPM (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix) methods as data analysis. And it is supported by the use of IFAS (Internal Factor Analysis Strategy) matrix, EFAS (External Factor Analysis Strategy) matrix, SWOT matrix, SWOT diagram, and QSPM matrix as the decision making. The purpose of this study is to determine the appropriate marketing strategy applied to the Citra City of Serang SMEs according to the internal and external environment owned. The results of this study indicate that the results of the IFAS matrix are 3,246 and the results of the EFAS matrix are 3,213. So that on the SWOT diagram it can occupy a quadrant 1 position, which means that MSMEs The environmental image of Peksrungan is in a strong position and has many opportunities. In accordance with the results of the SWOT matrix and the QSPM matrix, the appropriate strategy to be applied is the W – O Strategy with a rank 1 in the QSPM matrix 1. Increasing promotions to offset the promotion of new competitors and utilizing social media to show product quality 2. Marketing is expanded to the Ciruas - Cikande area as a measure to expand the distribution area.

Formulationg the Strategy for Agrotourism Destinations: Nglinggo Tourism Vilage, Samigaluh, Kulon Progo

This study aims to develop a strategy to attract tourists to visit Nglinggo tea plantation as a tourist destination in Samigaluh, Kulon Progo Regency. The research data used primary data, which was collected using interviews, filling out questionnaires and focus group discussions. The data were obtained from the tourists visiting Nglinggo tea plantation, the tour managers and Pager Harjo village officials. The analysis tools used the External Factor Evaluation Matrix (EFE), Internal Factor Evaluation Matrix (IFE) and the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). From the IFE and EFE matrices results, the SWOT table is compiled to obtain several alternative strategies. The alternative strategies are analyzed using QSPM to get the right strategy. The results of the analysis obtained IFE and EFE values above the average. The educational value of picking and processing tea and its culture had more excellent value than its weaknesses, namely the destruction by tourists and lack of roads and electricity infrastructures. The external environmental conditions that become the opportunities are the changes in people's lifestyles, the support from the government for tourism development and the outstanding image by tourists. The strategic options that can be taken are making the activity of drinking tea a tradition in Indonesia, increasing the educational tours of picking and processing tea, working with the government to build roads that facilitate the tourists to get to the tourist attractions safely and increasing the electrical installations around the tourist attractions as well as educating the public and the tourists about the conservation of the environment.

Position Analysis and Strategic Recommendations for Business Improvement in The Micro-Small Industry of Oil Palm Post-Harvest Equipment in Kampar Regency, Riau Province

Many industries producing post-harvest oil palm equipment are growing in Riau Province, Indonesia because this province has a large area of oil palm plantations. Micro-small businesses dominate this industry. The micro-small oil palm post-harvest equipment industry experiences many obstacles in improving and developing its business. This research aims to analyze the position of the micro-small oil palm post-harvest equipment industry and then provide strategic recommendations to improve their business. The position analysis used is Business Model Canvas (BMC) analysis and Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE) and External Factor Evaluation (EFE) matrices. Business development strategy recommendations use the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats (SWOT), and Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) methods. The research results show that the company is in a growth and development phase. The top two strategies recommended for these companies are maximizing marketing channels and good cooperation through cooperatives, oil palm processing companies (such as PTPN), government agencies, and social media, and improving product quality by providing skilled human resources and research and development activities.

Digitalization, Branding, and Network Collaboration Strategy among SMTEs: Preliminary Qualitative Analysis

The primary objective of this research is to develop strategies enabling Small and Medium Tourism Enterprises (SMTEs) to effectively navigate and actively participate in digital transformation and collaborative networks. Employing a qualitative methodology with the application of Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) analysis, data for this study is gathered through direct observations and interviews involving stakeholders in the tourism industry, local government, village authorities, and tourism business associations such as PHRI (Persatuan Hotel dan Restoran Indonesia) and BPW (Badan Pariwisata Wisatawan). The key findings underscore the significance of (1) fostering a positive service reputation culture, (2) involving diverse stakeholders in establishing a sustainable tourism destination management system, and (3) reinforcing tourism promotion efforts through the strategic use of expanded digital media channels. The practical implications of this research extend to providing tangible guidance for SMTEs to actively enhance their services for tourists. The distinctive contributions of this study manifest in three key dimensions. Firstly, the introduction of the service reputation culture as an innovative approach supports the evolution of novel services in the tourism industry. Secondly, it addresses the underexplored research theme of SMTEs, filling a significant knowledge gap. Thirdly, the utilization of QSPM analysis in this study showcases originality, as this analytical method is rarely employed in analogous contexts. Consequently, this research contributes unprecedented insights to the strategic understanding of SMTEs within the realm of service reputation culture, paving the way for innovative and informed approaches in the tourism industry.

Vegetable distributor business development strategy (Case study at PT XYZ)

The vegetable and fruit commodity business has good prospects for continued development. Vegetable production continues to increase from year to year. On the other hand, Indonesian people's consumption of vegetables is still low. PT XYZ is a company operating in the vegetable distributor sector. It faces the challenges of increasingly fierce competition and changes in customer purchasing patterns since the Covid-19 outbreak. The aim of this research was to identify business models, formulate alternative strategies, formulate priority strategies and formulate new business models that can be implemented to develop PT XYZ's business. Identification of PR XYZ's business model was carried out using the Business Model Canvas (BMC). Next, a SWOT analysis was carried out on the 9 elements of the Business Model Canvas, the results of which were also used to carry out IE analysis (EFE and IFE). From the IE analysis, PT XYZ's position was in quadrant V (Hold and Maintain). Commonly used strategies are Market Penetration and Product Development). From SWOT Matrix analysis (SO, WO, ST and WT). on the key factors of EFE and IFE, alternative strategies were obtained which were then prioritized using the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM), namely: forming a research and development section, evaluating vegetable processing processes, developing vegetable derivative products, carrying out more active marketing activities, developing marketing to the hotel, restaurant and cafe (HOREKA) segment, mapping vegetable suppliers, developing marketing to the online segment, creating a cooperation program that can bind suppliers, and opening a warehouse in Jakarta to reduce costs.
